Gov Eno Orders Immediate Demolition Of Illegal Structures On Govt Land

The Akwa Ibom Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has ordered the Uyo Capital City Development Authority (UCCDA), to demolish all illegal structures on government land within seven days.

He made specific mention of some structures on the stretch of land along Udo Udoma Avenue which accommodates some ongoing projects in the Shopping City cluster.

The Governor gave the directive during an on-site inspection to the cluster, as he visited the 5,000-capacity Convention Centre, the 200-room Ibom Hotels Project and the ARISE Shopping City.

Governor Eno who was detailed as well as reeling out facts and figures in his engagement at the sites, condemned the act of encroachment on government property, warning that such must stop immediately.

He said illegal structures around the Udo Udoma cluster must be demolished to ensure free access to Ring Road III.

The Governor who visited other project sites such as the ARISE Senior Citizens Centre at Ikono/Ibiono Ibom LGAs, CNG Bus Terminal at Odiok Itam, Itu LGA, Flood Control project at Itu LGA, Road Construction project at Uyo Village Road, Uyo LGA,
Judiciary Officers Quarters at Ring Road III, International Convention Center and ARISE Shopping City, is billed to continue the project tour, Friday, August 15, 2025.
