The Tinubu Umo Eno Support Organization, TUESO, has congratulated Comrade Nsibiet John on his resounding and landslide victory as Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, Akwa Ibom State Council.

This was contained in a Press Release issued on Monday, August 4, 2025 and signed by the Convener of TUESO, Obong Unwana Micheal Joseph Okon, in Uyo, on behalf of the organization.

This victory, according to TUESO, is shared by thousands, reflecting the widespread appreciation for Comrade Nsibiet John’s leadership and dedication at the Federated Chapel of the NUJ.
In the election held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the State NUJ Press Centre, Information Drive, Uyo, Comrade John, a member of the Federated Chapel of the union and publisher of The INK newspaper, emerged victorious after polling 555 votes to defeat Comrade Nene Afia of the State Ministry of Information Chapel, 92 votes; Effiong Edet, 21 votes and Esther Effiong, who got four votes.
Obong Unwana Okon, expressed delight that Comrade John’s triumph was hardly unexpected.
Said him: “Over the years, Comrade Nsibiet John has consistently demonstrated his capabilities, earning the trust and admiration of his peers. His exceptional qualities as a publicity expert and his jovial personality have fostered strong, loyal friendships, which undoubtedly contributed to his success at the polls.
“Comrade Nsibiet John’s victory is a testament to his outstanding character and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
“His “jolly good fellow” lifestyle has made him a beloved figure, and his loyalty to the cause of journalism and the betterment of Akwa Ibom State is unwavering. These attributes, combined with his proven track record, make him an ideal leader for the NUJ Akwa Ibom State Council.
“As Comrade Nsibiet John embarks on his tenure as Chairman, TUESO extends its heartfelt wishes for a robust and fruitful term. It is hoped that his leadership will catalyze societal growth and empower the fourth estate to continue serving as a pillar for the advancement of Akwa Ibom State.
“By leveraging his position, Comrade Nsibiet John can further harness the potential of journalism to drive positive change and development within the state,” the Obong Unwana Okon concluded.
TUESO, managed by the Coalition of Youth Leaders in Akwa Ibom State, is a socio-political support group promoting good governance and also working for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Governor Umo Eno come 2027.
