Akpabio Hails Super Falcons On 10th WAFCON Triumph

Nigeria’s Senate President Godswill Akpabio, has congratulated the female national team, Super Falcons, for winning the Women’s African Cup of Nations, WAFCON, for a historic 10th times after a thrilling 2-3 comeback against host Morocco, Saturday, July 26, night.

Senator Akpabio, in a statement through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, said he is proud of the Super Falcons, commending their team spirit, resilience and unwavering commitment to excellence.

“Your thrilling comeback against Morocco is reminiscent of the Saudi ’88 Daman Miracle and the Dream Team’s triumph at the Atlanta ’96 Olympics. This victory will forever be etched in the annals of African football history.
