The Chapter Chairman of
Nsit Ibom All Progressives Congress, APC, Hon Emmanuel Jimmy Akpan, has applauded the Executive Chairman of the Council, Rt Hon (Mrs) Deaconess Otobong Aaron, for her commitment and loyalty to the Party.
The Chapter Chairman made this known during a meeting he convened, at the Conference Hall, Afaha Offiong, with the APC ward chairmen and chapter principal officers in Nsit Ibom Local Government Area, to engage with the Chairman, Rt Hon Aaron, on Friday, July 18, 2025.
Hon Jimmy Akpan extended deep appreciation to Rt Hon Aaron for her bold and exemplary gesture—embracing the APC party structure at the local government level. Stating that, by this singular act, Deaconess Aaron has become the first local government chairman in Akwa Ibom State to formally recognize and collaborate with the party’s grassroots framework.
Adding that, by so doing, echoes the progressive leadership style of His Excellency, the Governor of Akwa Ibom, Pastor Umo Eno, whose commitment to inclusivity and structured engagement has inspired loyal party members across the State.
The APC Chapter Chairman also commended the Council Chairman, for welcoming and integrating the Women Wing of Nsit Ibom APC, into her all inclusive government.
Hon Jimmy noted the Council Chairman’s openness to engaging other party units —including the entire ward and chapter executives, Youth Wing and the esteemed stakeholders of Nsit Ibom APC in a date that will be communicated to them soon— marks a new era of synergy and forward-thinking governance.
Hon Jimmy further hailed Rt Hon Aaron’s wisdom and strategic focus, describing her efforts as key to ensuring a decisive victory for Governor Eno in Nsit Ibom come 2027 general elections.
In her reaction, the Nsit Ibom Council Chairman, Rt Hon Otobong Aaron, thanked the APC Chapter Chairman, his executive , ward chairmen and women leaders for their dedication and pledged her full support and readiness to work with everyone to deliver on the party’s shared vision for the future.
As a mark of solidarity and commitment to party values, the chapter chairman, alongside all ward chairmen, formally endorsed Governor Eno for a second term, expressing unwavering faith in his leadership and reaffirming the party’s commitment to his re-election journey in 2027.
