APC Stakeholders In Akwa Ibom Vow to Return Tinubu, Akpabio, Umo Eno in 2027

Leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Akwa Ibom State have unanimously pledged their support for the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Governor Umo Eno in the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement came during a high-level APC stakeholders’ meeting held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Uyo. The gathering brought together party chieftains from the state, chapter, and ward levels, signaling a moment of unity and strategic alignment within the party.


Presiding over the motion , Senate President, Chief Dr. Godswill Akpabio, conducted a voice vote in which party leaders overwhelmingly affirmed their support for the three leaders, vowing to work collectively to secure their return to office in 2027.

“By your voices, you have spoken loudly and clearly. Akwa Ibom stands united in support of President Tinubu, Governor Umo Eno, and my humble self for continuity and progress,” Akpabio declared.

Governor Umo Eno, in his remarks, expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in him by the party and reaffirmed his commitment to peace, unity, and inclusive governance. He pledged to work closely with President Tinubu and Senator Akpabio to drive development across the state.

“What matters now is unity of party and of purpose. I am here to serve all Akwa Ibomites and to work for the good of our state and nation,” Governor Eno said.

Acknowledging the Senate President, the governor said, “Your Excellency, we celebrate you and hold you in high regard for ensuring that Akwa Ibom gets its rightful place at the national level.”

Speaking to the party stakeholders, the governor declared, “I am here to work with you and to support you in the interest of unity and progress of our state. Our first task is to update our party register and bring everyone together under one united front Team Akwa Ibom.”

Earlier, APC State Chairman, Obong Stephen Ntukekpo, described the gathering as a significant milestone in the evolution of the party in the state. He praised the peaceful atmosphere and growing synergy between state and national leaders, saying it would strengthen the APC’s position ahead of 2027.

The meeting also witnessed the formal handover of the party structure in Akwa Ibom to Governor Umo Eno, a symbolic gesture reinforcing his new role as leader of the party in the state.

Stakeholders in attendance described the moment as a new chapter for Akwa Ibom APC, where loyalty, strategic collaboration, and shared political vision are now taking center stage.
