The suspects, Abdulkadir Abubakar of Mpape, Abuja; Mohammed Tasiu Sani, 25, of Rigina, Kaduna State; and Suleiman Jibrin, 27, from Sabon-Gayan, Kaduna State, were apprehended on June 29, 2025, in a sting operation spanning Wukushi, Mpape, FCT, and Rigina, Kaduna State.
The successful operation, led by Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Victor Godfrey, was based on actionable intelligence and executed under the strategic directive of the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ajao Saka Adewale.

A motorcycle, commonly referred to as a “Boko Haram motorcycle,” was recovered during the operation, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend other fleeing accomplices and recover additional weapons.
Speaking on the development, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine, confirmed that the suspects are currently in custody and assisting ongoing investigations aimed at dismantling their criminal network.
CP Adewale commended the operatives’ bravery and resilience, and reassured residents of the Command’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and property.
