By Edem EDEM, Abuja

The National Working Committee, NWC, of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has officially fixed July 24, 2025, for a crucial National Executive Council, NEC, meeting where a new national chairman is expected to emerge.

This development follows the resignation of the party’s former national chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, last Friday.

In the meantime, the Deputy National Chairman (North), Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori, has been named Acting National Chairman and formally took charge on Monday, June 30.

Speaking after an emergency meeting held at the party’s national secretariat, the Deputy National Secretary, Barrister Festus Fuanter, confirmed the date and disclosed that a formal notice had already been sent to the Independent National Electoral Commission to notify them of the scheduled meeting.
