As Iran prepares to hold a state funeral for dozens of high-ranking military and nuclear figures killed in recent Israeli air raids, the United States, U.S President Donald Trump has issued a sharp warning, vowing to resume bombing if Tehran restarts its nuclear weapons programme.
In a flurry of posts on his Truth Social platform, Trump accused Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei of ingratitude and criticized Tehran’s declarations of victory following its conflict with Israel.
“I knew EXACTLY where he was sheltered, and would not let Israel, or the U.S Armed Forces, by far the Greatest and Most Powerful in the World, terminate his life,” Trump wrote.“I SAVED HIM FROM A VERY UGLY AND IGNOMINIOUS DEATH, and he does not have to say, ‘THANK YOU, PRESIDENT TRUMP!’”
