President Tinubu has said: “Even if you don’t like me, if you’re honest, you must admit the work I’m doing. Come to Abuja and see for yourself the facts are on the ground.”

The President was speaking through Senate President , Senator Godswill Akpabio, who ably represented him at the 11th day of the FCT’s 16-day project commissioning series, in Abuja.

The commissioning of the ultra-modern Kugbo Bus Terminal was the highlight of event, another milestone in the Tinubu administration’s aggressive urban transformation agenda.

The President, through his representative, praised the FCT Minister, Barr. Nyesom Wike, for his commitment, execution, and results.

“Wike is ‘Mr. Project’ for a reason. Seventeen days of back-to-back commissioning is no joke,” President Tinubu remarked through Senator Akpabio.

“This is a demonstration of full budget implementation from appropriation to execution and I thank the National Assembly for their role in making this possible.”

President Tinubu, said his administration’s commitment to infrastructure, good governance, and transparent delivery remains non-negotiable.

In his own remarks, the FCT Minister lauded the President’s unwavering support, while acknowledging that it has not come without personal political costs.

“Even if your support brings me 20 million enemies, I will accept it. Keep supporting me, Mr. President. You have changed the narrative of Abuja,” Wike declared.

He challenged previous administrations to take credit if they could for the landmark projects now reshaping the capital city.

“Of the 17 projects we lined up for commissioning, let anyone come out and say we’re claiming what we didn’t build. I challenge anybody!” Wike said.

“This government is not about making only the rich comfortable. We are here to make all Nigerians happy rich and poor alike. That’s the hallmark of true leadership.”

He also highlighted the unprecedented demand for the newly completed Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, noting that the facility is now fully booked until 2027.

“That’s what happens when you deliver quality. Even government agencies now compete for dates. This isn’t about politics it’s about progress.”
