The Managing Director/CEO of Akwa Ibom Investment Corporation (AKICORP), Mr. Imo-Abasi Jacob, has promised to recognize and reward excellent staff performance. During the corporation’s traditional fasting and prayer session June 16th, he announced plans to grant awards to five outstanding staff members on the last Friday, June and at the end of the year 2025.
Mr. Jacob emphasized the importance of good character and conduct, warning that shortlisted staff should uphold high standards to deserve the award. He also highlighted upcoming events, including the groundbreaking ceremony for the corporation’s permanent building.
The MD/CEO expressed concern over the corporation’s limited manpower, which has resulted in a heavy workload for staff. He promised to address this issue before the year ends.
Mr. Jacob also emphasized the need to promote a strong professional corporate culture, curb vices like malingering and gossip, and uphold the aspirations of the corporation’s founding fathers.
He further advised staff to see the need of advancing their capacity through hard work, studying and reading. 
The corporation’s Auditor, Mr. Bassey Asuquo, delivered a message with a theme “they will discuss you”, cautioning staff to be mindful of their actions, as they will be judged accordingly. The session concluded with prayers for the staff, the corporation, the state and Nigeria.
