The Chairman of the Unique NCI-04 Alumni, Mr. Nsikakabasi David Jack, has called on members of the 2004 graduating set of the Nigerian Christian Institute (NCI) not to talk down on one another, but to focus on mutual growth and support.

Mr. Jack made the charge during his inaugural meeting with members of the group, held over the weekend at Davita Resort, off Nsikak Eduok Avenue.
In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of self-belief and collaboration among members, stating, “We must believe in ourselves as assets. Together, we can set goals and achieve them. As we build our group and contribute to our alma mater, we should also focus on personal development.”
He recalled that their set began their academic journey in 1998, highlighting the evolution of NCI from a secondary school to a thriving institution with both primary and secondary sections, and now the proposed Alpha University. “Let us not talk down on each other. Believe in yourself and know that you are valuable,” he reiterated.
The chairman also revealed that a corporate bank account had been opened for the group, stressing the need for members to contribute meaningfully to sustain the platform and advance the organization’s goals.

According to him, the Unique NCI-04 Alumni was established to: Organize periodic gatherings for camaraderie among members residing in Akwa Ibom and beyond; Elect officers and leaders to steer the group’s affairs; Mobilize, manage, and utilize resources for the benefit of their alma mater; Serve as a united voice for NCI alumni in Nigeria and the diaspora as well as Foster effective representation within the larger NCI Alumni community.
During his address, Mr. Jack expressed gratitude to God and the members for electing him as their leader, following a successful election of new executives in February 2025. He described the meeting as a “re-emerging co-existence for greater collaboration” and expressed optimism about the group’s future.
He also thanked the executive committee for their support and affirmed the group’s commitment to partnering with the main NCI Alumni Body. “We have not detached ourselves from the international alumni body recognized worldwide,” he noted, acknowledging his role as the second executive leader of the group.
Highlighting some achievements under his leadership so far, Mr. David informed that the constitution drafting committee completed the group’s by-laws, which had since been approved and distributed at the meeting. He also confirmed that the group is now officially recognized as Unique NCI-04 Alumni.
An insignia representing the alumni body has been designed and is now being used across social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram.
In addition, the executive committee recently paid a courtesy visit to the NCI campus. He said the school community was delighted to receive them, and the discussions held during the visit were fruitful. He further raised concerns and appealed to members of the group to work together as a team to meet their targets
A highlight of the event was the presentation of gift items to birthday celebrators from the months of April to June, as well as gifts to all members present at the meeting.

In attendance were the executives and members of the 2004 graduating set of the Nigerian Christian Institute (NCI).
