Akwa Ibom CJ Swears In Judicial Service Commission’s Executive Secretary | PM News

Akwa Ibom State Chief Judge, Ekaette Fabian Obot has sworn in the new executive secretary of the state judicial service commission.

He is Enefiok Essien, a lawyer who until his appointment was the Chief Dispute Resolution Officer( DRO) at the Multi-Door Courthouse, Uyo;
an arm of the Akwa Ibom State Judiciary in charge of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).

His appointment followed the retirement of the erstwhile Executive Secretary of the Commission, Patience Nneke from the Service of the Akwa Ibom State government.

Performing the swearing-in, the Chief Judge charged Essien to be dedicated in his duties, saying that the new position calls for loyalty, diligence and
responsibility.

The CJ urged him to be committed and focused on his new assignment, advising that he should always reach out to the appropriate authority for direction when such need arises.

Speaking on Oath, the new Executive Secretary promised to be faithful in the discharge of his duties, adding that he would not allow his personal
interest to influence his official conduct and decisions.

Born on August 8,1971 at Mbiabong Itam, Itu Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, Essien attended the African Primary School, Ajegunle and Alakoto High School, Olodi-Apapa, in Lagos State for his Primary and Secondary Education.

He obtained his First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) in 1982, and passed the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) examinations in 1986.

He graduated from the University of Uyo in 1997 with a Degree in Law, and from the Nigerian Law School, thereafter, in 1999 with a B.L. Professional Certificate

He joined the Akwa Ibom state Judiciary in June, 2008 as an Assistant Chief Registrar and was later deployed to the Multi-Door Courthouse as
a Dispute Resolution Officer, where he has served until his present appointment.
