FG Announces Public Holiday For May 1 Workers Day Celebration In Nigeria

Thursday, May 1, 2025, has been announced as public holiday to mark this year’s Workers’ Day Celebration in Nigeria.

This was disclosed by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, in a statement, Tuesday night in Abuja.

He said federal government steadily drives the need for peace in ensuring industrialisation and economic growth.

Tunji-Ojo commended workers for their diligence and sacrifice, noting that workers’ efforts are largely responsible for the greatness of the country and the respect Nigeria commands in the comity of nations.
