The Men’s Fellowship of the United Evangelical Church, UEC, Itiam Etoi, Mbiabong Etoi Superintendency, Uyo, ended her Anniversary activities at the Church premises, Off Edet Akpan Avenue, Four Lanes, Uyo, on Sunday, April 27, 2025, with Fund Launching and Thanksgiving Service.

The programme started on Friday, April 25, evening, with the exposition of the Anniversary theme, ‘Good Works For Notable and Undeniable Good Success’, Text: Ephesians 2:10, by the resident Pastor, Rev Edem Ubom.

Rev Ubom said good success is a task that everyone should accomplish, adding that everything God created is of value and that God created us for good purposes. We should be doing good always as the greatest of God’s creation.

On Saturday, April 26, the Anniversary hosted choir competition participated by seven Associations, namely: Nka Idorenyin, Emem, Unwana, Ikemesit, Uforo, Ima and Nka Mbuotidem. Nka Ima won the choir competition.

Under the chairmanship of Elder Iniobong Obot, of The Apostolic Church, the Men’s Fellowship Anniversary climaxed on Sunday, April 27, with the official announcement of the winners of choir competition by Mr Henry Morrison, and presentation of awards to five former presidents of Men’s Fellowship and an award to a dedicated Church officer for their good works in the vineyard of God.

They recipients were: Elder Nse Ekefre, Elder Usoro Joshua, Deacon Ifiok Umoren, Elder Paulinus Udoh, Deacons Frank Ekpo and Anietie Archibong. Mr Akpan Stephen received Elder Ekefre’s award on his behalf.

In his remarks, the chairman of the occasion, Elder Obot, urged men to dedicate their lives to good works and appreciated the Men’s Fellowship of the Church for choosing the theme, adding that good works shall be rewarded.


In his address, the President of Men’s Fellowship, Itiam Etoi, Mr Nsikan Efanga Inyang, appreciated God and the Church leadership, Men, Women, Youth Fellowship and the children for their good works in the Church.

The President praised everyone, especially the Men’s Fellowship for supporting him since he was elected three months ago, and reminded them the importance to be committed to work in the vineyard of God.

In his sermon, during the first part of the service, the guest Pastor, Rev Ndifreke Amos Udom JP, said that good success in life comes as a result of good work.

Rev Udom enumerated the attributes of good work and their rewards, urged all Christians to be doing good.


During the service, Men’s Fellowship and Marvelous Voices rendered melodious songs.


Donations were announced from the Men’s Fellowship by it’s President Mr Inyang, Chairman of the occasion, Elder Obot, High table, Women’s Fellowship, invited guests, families, etc.

Finally, the chairman of the Men’s Fellowship Planning Committee, Elder Ufot Nkangude, the president of Men’s Fellowship, Mr Nsikan Efanga Inyang, and the Church Committee Chairman, Elder Paulinus Udoh, individually, were appreciative to God Almighty for His Divine guidance.

They prayed God to reward and bless everyone’s efforts and sacrifices during the Anniversary.
