The Super Eagles of Nigeria suffered another setback in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign as Zimbabwe snatched a late equalizer to secure a 1-1 draw in their Group C encounter.

The Super Eagles failed to defeat the Warriors of Zimbabwe in a crunch World Cup qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.

Despite Nigeria being three-time African champions, their qualification hopes are now under threat after dropping points for the second consecutive match.

With expectations high, the Super Eagles will need to bounce back quickly in their remaining fixtures to keep their World Cup dreams alive.
