New NAPTIP Zonal Commander Ubong Ekwere Assumes Duties In Akwa Ibom

A new zonal commander of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP, Mr Ubong Ekwere has assumed office in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

Mr Ekwere took over from Mr. Emmanuel Awhen Monday, March 24, 2025, at the Uyo Zonal Command.

Addressing the agency’s personnel, he commended his predecessor for strengthening the command.

He expressed gratitude to the agency’s management for entrusting him with the zone’s leadership.

“I am honoured and humbled to take over as the zonal commander of the Uyo zonal command.

“I acknowledge the rich legacy and traditions of excellence built over the years in this command,” he said.

Ekwere pledged to uphold the agency’s values, conquer human trafficking, and prevent violence against persons in Akwa Ibom state.
