The Oku Ibom Ibibio, and President General of Akwa Ibom State Supreme Council of Traditional Rulers, His Eminence, Ntenyin (Dr.) Solomon Etuk JP, CFR, has patted Dr. Anieti Udofia on the back for his proactive steps towards reviving tourist sites in Nsit Ubium and Akwa Ibom State.

The Paramount Ruler of Nsit Ubium commended Dr. Udofia on Friday, March 14, 2025, in his palace in Ikot Edibon when the Honourable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, alongside the Nsit Ubium Council Chairman, Hon. Alfred Charles Inoyo paid him a courtesy visit to intimate him about the tourism initiatives expected to commence in Nsit Ubium LGA soon.

Ntenyin Etuk described Dr. Udofia as a vibrant young man, whose proactive approach to leadership shows commitment and character of excellence, and signifies a promising political future ahead of him.

“I want to thank the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism for his proactive measures towards the Ubium Heritage project, and for creating time to be involved despite recently assuming office; he has shown character and commitment. He is a vibrant and active young man with so much to offer. I can imagine what his political future will be like in the next 30 years. I pray to be there to witness such a great time”, he said.

Ntenyin Solomon Etuk also commended Governor Umo for appointing youthful minds into his cabinet, noting that it is a welcome development to have fresh energy and ideas injected into government to contribute their quota towards the growth of the State as it would fast-track results.

“Many leaders in this country started making remarkable differences during their youthful days, in their mid-20s, 30s, and early 40s. Obafemi Awolowo and the likes were young people who held sway in this country as young people.

“So, I want to thank my Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, I say that God should bless him for picking up young people, nurturing and giving them places to serve in government. I know that in the next 30 years to come, they will become greater”, the Oku Ibom said.

He also called for appointees to be given a chance to grow so they can live up to expectations by using their positions to affect lives and create impact down to the grassroots.

“I must also say, when young people are appointed into positions, it should not be a one-off arrangement as it is not the best approach to leadership. They should be guided and promoted to rise through the ranks so they can grow to do more,” said the Paramount Ruler.

“Those appointed into positions should always endeavour to reach out to others and let their impact be felt by those at the grassroots,” he submitted.
