In the thick of growing concerns over renewed efforts by the Cross River State Government to reclaim the 76 oil wells ceded to Akwa Ibom in 2012, Governor Umo Eno has assured the people that the situation remains under control.

Speaking on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the March edition of the Government House Monthly Prayer Service, Governor Eno reaffirmed that the Supreme Court had twice ruled in favor of Akwa Ibom, settling the dispute. He urged citizens to remain calm, trust in God, and avoid unnecessary agitation, as the matter had already been legally resolved.

Pastor Eno, however, emphasized the need for unity and respect for leadership, cautioning against unwarranted criticism that could discourage those in positions of authority. He reiterated his commitment to peaceful governance and called on Akwa Ibom people to support their leaders rather than undermine them.
