The Federal government has so far disbursed N32.8 billion for student loans.
The Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris announced the figure at a ministerial briefing in Abuja on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
Idrus said out of 371000 students who applied for the loan, no fewer than 192000 have so far drawn down the loans worth N32.8 billion.
The students were drawn from 150 tertiary institutions in Nigeria, according to the minister.
