The Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria, PETROAN, said it was awaiting the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, to open its portal to enable it lift petroleum products from Warri refinery, reports VanguardNews.
The 125,000 barrels per day, bpd refinery started operations and loading of petroleum products about one month ago after many years of rehabilitation.
Last week, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, said the plant was shut down for routine maintenance and would be back soon.
However, in his telephone interview with Vanguard, yesterday, the President of PEROAN, Dr. Billy Gillis-Harris, said: ‘’We have an allocation to lift from Warri refinery. We were lifting from there before. We are waiting for the NNPCL to open its portal so we can continue lifting.
‘’We intend to continue lifting petroleum products from the refinery once the NNPCL reopens its portal.”
