The sad news has emerged that a makeup artist and hairstylist, Emrich Effanga, from Akwa Ibom has been allegedly killed by her boyfriend, Ndifreke Isaiah, in Uyo.
The shocking revelation was made by her brother, renowned Nigerian guitarist, Fiokee, who is originally from Akwa Ibom.
Fiokee shared that he had no knowledge of the domestic violence his sister was enduring in her relationship, as she never confided in him. Had she done so, he says, necessary actions could have been taken to protect her.
In light of this tragedy, Fiokee urged women in abusive relationships to speak out, stressing the importance of seeking help to prevent such devastating outcomes.
