|NATIONAL| President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja after participating in the Africa Heads of State Energy Summit held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The President’s aircraft touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, around 7:40 pm on Tuesday.
He was warmly received by prominent government officials, including the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, alongside other dignitaries.
During the summit, President Tinubu engaged with global leaders to discuss strategies for accelerating energy access in underserved regions, renewable energy development, and fostering private sector investment.
The summit, organized by the Tanzanian government in partnership with the African Development Bank Group and the World Bank, is focused on advancing “Mission 300,” an initiative aimed at providing electricity access to 300 million people in Africa by 2030, according to Onanuga.
The discussions centred on expanding energy access in underserved areas, promoting renewable energy, improving energy efficiency, and attracting private sector investment.
President Tinubu was accompanied on the trip by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu, Special Adviser to the President on Energy Olu Verheijen, and other senior government officials.
