AMITEC Commences Full Construction On Uyo Village Road

In line with the Governor’s directive that contractors should mobilise their men to sites, AMITEC Construction and Development, one of the leading construction companies operating in the state has fully complied with the directive.

It would be recalled that Governor Umo Eno recently directed road contractors to take the advantage of the dry season to mobilise workers to sites so as to complete their projects on specifications.

When media practitioners in the state visited the company’s site at Uyo village road last week, to ascertain the state of compliance, it was observed that AMITEC Construction has deployed both equipment and personnel to site and work has commenced in ernest.

Speaking with Journalists, the Project Manager of the Company, Mr Wael Saimua said workers have been working on site in the past six weeks.

According to him, the road is over 4km dual carriage and two bridges will be constructed because of the nature of the road.

He said, the project according to design will have walkways and drainages on both sides of the road.

Saimua further stated that as an experienced construction organisation, the company is capable of handling any gray areas arising from the project.

He said, ” there will be two bridges, walkways and drainages on both sides of the road to help reduce accident”.

Speaking on the quality of the work, the Project Manager assured Akwa Ibom people of a standard and durable project delivery.

He stated, “Akwa Ibom people should expect the best, we have been giving 100% performance of our projects, we do it in a manner its supposed to be done”

“Our track record speaks for us, everything will be done according to specifications and standards, we have competent engineers and experts”.

He expressed commendation to the host communities for the good working relationship they have enjoyed so far and noted that the reception from elders, women and youths of the communities accorded them have been massive.
