President Trump Signs Executive Order to Deport Foreign Students Who Participated in Pro-Hamas Protests, Demonsrations

|FOREIGN| The United States President Donald Trump has issued an executive order authorizing the deportation of foreign students and other non-citizens in the country who express support for organizations classified as terrorist groups by the US government.

A critical section of the order, published by the administration, states: “To safeguard Americans, it is essential for the United States to exercise vigilance during the visa-issuance process to ensure that individuals granted admission do not pose a threat to Americans or national interests. Most importantly, the United States must identify such individuals before they are admitted or allowed entry.”

“The United States must ensure that admitted aliens and aliens otherwise already present in the United States do not bear hostile attitudes toward its citizens, culture, government, institutions, or founding principles, and do not advocate for, aid, or support designated foreign terrorists and other threats to our national security,” the document stated.

During his campaign, Trump pledged to pursue the deportation of foreign students participating in campus unrest and anti-Israel demonstrations who express solidarity with Hamas and Hezbollah, both organizations designated as terrorist groups by Washington.
