IPI Nigeria Re-elects Mojeed, Shekarau As President, Secretary |SituationReport|

The Editor-in-Chief of Premium Times, Musikilu Mojeed, has been re-elected as President of the Nigerian chapter of the International Press Institute.

The Chief Executive Officer of Media Trust Group, Ahmed Shekarau, was also reelected as Secretary.

Mojeed and Shekarau, along with four other executives, were elected unopposed and sworn-in for another three years at the organisation’s annual general meeting held in Abuja on Thursday, December 12, 2024.

A statement made available to our correspondent on Saturday by a member of IPI’s global executive board, Raheem Adedoyin, revealed that the newly elected executive committee members include Fidelis Mbah of Al Jazeera Television (Deputy President), Rafatu Salami of Voice of Nigeria (Treasurer), Yomi Adeboye of Herald Newspaper (Assistant Secretary), and Tobi Soniyi of Arise News (Legal Adviser).
