President Tinubu Presents N47.9trn 2025 Budget December 17 |SituationReport|

Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu will Tuesday December 17, 2024 present the 2025 budget to joint session of the National Assembly.

The President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio , made the announcement to Senators at the close of plenary on Thursday.

“The president has made his intention known to the National Assembly to present the 2025m budget to the joint session of the National Assembly on the 17th of December, 2024,” he said.

The proposed budget, totalling N47.9 trillion, was earlier announced by the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning , Senator Atiku Bagudu.

Both Chambers of the National Assembly had preparatory to presentation of the budget by the President, passed the 2025 – 2027 Medium Term Expenditure Frame Work (MTEF) and Fiscal Strategy Paper (FSP) which contained the parameters upon which the 2025 budget is based.

Some of the parameters are oil benchmark of $75 per barrel for 2025, 2.06million Crude Oil Production per day, Exchange rate of N1,400 to USD1 etc.
