Akwa Ibom State Government is hosting the much anticipated 2024 Christmas Carols in Uyo, the State Capital, today, Friday, December 13.
The State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno is expected as the Special Guest of Honour at the event, which will be attended by the Deputy Governor, Senator Akon Eyakenyi, the Secretary to State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah, the Head of Civil Service, Elder Effiong Essien, top Government officials, the Political class, friends, allies and well wishers of Akwa Ibom State.
Already the people of the State are in top spirit with the ongoing frenzy of the Christmas Unplugged Season 2.0, which has been running since December 01, at the Christmas Park along Udo Udoma Avenue, Uyo.
According to the State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Sir Charles Udoh, the 2024 Christmas Carols, is the 17th edition of this special award winning Guiness World Record Christmas event, which is often referred to as the Biggest God’s Party anywhere in the world.
Sir Charles Udoh said, the Annual Christmas Carols Festival is a festival of Christian Songs, Dance, and Worship that has over the years attracted A-List Gospel Artistes, Choir groups and Worshipers from across the world.
He disclosed that, the 2024 Carols Festival, has as it’s theme – “Peace and Holiness with All Men” and will feature top artistes such as: Minister GUC, David G, Jimmy D’ Psalmist, Steve Crown, Buchi, Eno Michael and Moses Bliss.
So far, necessary arrangements have been made for the festival to be beamed live on satellite and terrestrial television; as well as live streamed on all government social media platforms for global reach.

It could be recalled that, the Christmas Carols Festival is coming in-between the 32days Christmas Unplugged which commenced on December 01 2024 to run till January 01, 2025.
