Court Denies Dele Farotimi Bail, Adjourns Case To December 20 |SituationReport|

The Magistrate Court in Ado-Ekiti has denied bail to human rights activist and Lagos-based lawyer, Dele Farotimi, in an ongoing legal dispute involving the founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), Aare Afe Babalola.

Presiding Magistrate Abayomi Adeosun postponed the hearing on Farotimi’s bail application to December 20. The decision followed arguments from the counsel to the police, Samson Osobu, who contended that the bail application submitted by the defendant was both incompetent and irregular.

The legal battle between Farotimi and Afe Babalola has drawn significant public attention, with the latest development signaling a prolonged courtroom tussle.
