Edo State Government on Friday, December 6, 2024, appointed a blogger, Friday Aghedo, as Press Secretary to the state deputy governor, Dennis Idahosa.
This was contained in a letter endorsed by the secretary to the Edo State Government, SSG Mr. Musa Ikhilor.
According to the letter, the appointment takes effect from December 2nd 2024.
Aghedo served as Deputy Director, the New Media Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Campaign Council, where he worked tirelessly to ensure the victory of Governor Monday Okpbebholo
It is expected that Aghedo would bring on board a wealth of experience in media handling and leadership skills.
Aghedo will be at home with his principal, Idahosa, who he has been working with in the same capacity since 2019 that led to the deputy governor’s election into the House of Representatives till his emergence as the deputy governor of the state.
Prior to his handling of the Idahosa Media assignment, Aghedo was Press Secretary to the Chairman of Ovia South West Local Government Area.
