Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has received eulogy as an inspirational Leader whose support and encouragements have geared his team towards effective service delivery in their different sectors..

The Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Sir Charles Udoh who Stated this over the weekend, expressed appreciation to the Governor for granting him the opportunity to Serve and also providing him with the available resources to deliver on the mandate of his office.

Sir Charles Udoh was speaking over the weekend at the Unity Park venue of the ongoing construction work of the Christmas Unplugged 2.0, while receiving guests who turned out to celebrate with him on his  year 2024 birthday anniversary.

The State Tourism helmsman who was explaining the rationale behind working at the Unity Park on his birthday said, Governor Umo Eno has  provided him an opportunity to serve in his cabinet, therefore he will not allow any sort of celebration to take him off his duty post at the moment, which, according to him, is the supervision of the ongoing construction work at the Christmas Park in anticipation of the Christmas Unplugged Season 2.0..

He expressed appreciation to the people who felicitated him on his birthday particularly his immediate constituencies, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, led by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Grace Akpan and the Ministry of Information, where he served first as a Commissioner, on assumption of duties in the State Public Service,  led also by their Permanent Secretary, Akparawa James Edet.

Sir Udoh thanked staff of both Ministries of Culture and that of Information for the love, support and cooperation he has contacted to enjoy from them during his sojourn in the State Public Service and solicit continous partnership towards pushing ahead the development programmes of government for the benefit of the people.

He used the occasion to invite all the staff and indeed the people of the State to the Christmas Unplugged Season 2.0 and the 2024 Christmas Carols just by the corner, emphasizing that  the 2024 edition of both events will be bigger and better and expressed appreciation to Governor Eno for his support.

Sir Udoh said the Christmas Unplugged Season 2.0 is packaged to run for 32 days, from December 01, 2024 to January 01, 2025, adding that the event which will showcase the rich cultural heritage of Akwa Ibom people during the Sight and Sound segment of the event, will also attract an array of A- List Gospel Artistes for the Christmas Carols Festival, as well as top brass pop Stars within and outside the State, during the Christmas Unplugged Season 2.0.

He stressed that, with the daily schedule mapped out  for performances by different cultural and professional groups and organisations, this year’s edition of the Christmas festivities is geared at giving the  people a memorable experience of another December to remember.

In their separate remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Akparawa James Edet and that of Culture and Tourism, Mrs. Grace Akpan, thanked God Almighty for the life of Sir Charles Udoh whom He has used to impact greatly in the government of the State through his achievements in the three Ministries he has traversed in the course of his State assignment as Honourable Commissioner, and congratulated the Tourism Boss for entering another chapter of his life.

The event witnessed exchange of pleasantries and birthday wishes to the celebrator, presentation of gifts and cutting of birthday cake admits birthday chants.
