President Tinubu Decorates Acting COAS Oluyede With Lieutenant General Rank

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has decorated the acting Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Olufemi Oluyede with the rank of Lieutenant General.

Tinubu, who performed the decoration ceremony in his office at the State House, Abuja, on Tuesday, also attracted Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa and other service chiefs.

Tinubu commended the military for its unwavering courage, dedication and patriotism in maintaining the nation’s security.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President said: “It is both an honour and a privilege to decorate you today,” the President stated.

“This recognition reflects your commitment and service to the Nigerian military, which speaks volumes through your exemplary record.”
