Akwa Ibom, Lagos, Abia, Ebonyi Get New Police Commissioners

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the appointment of four new Commissioners of Police for Akwa Ibom, Abia, Lagos and Ebonyi States.

The appointments, announced on Friday, September 13, 2024, follow recent promotions within the police force that created vacancies in the affected state commands.

A statement released by the Commission’s Head of Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani, and made available to Diaspora Digital Media listed the new Commissioners as Miller Gajere Dantawaye, Akwa Ibom State Command; Isah Danladi Nda, Abia State Command; Olarewaju Ishola Olawale, Lagos State Command; Anthonia Adaku Uche Anya and Ebonyi State Command.

Chairman of the PSC, DIG Hashimu Argungu (rtd), urged them to make a positive impact in their respective states, emphasizing the need for them to be proactive in addressing security challenges.

“The PSC will monitor their performance, and their appointments are seen as a call to greater dedication to serving their fatherland.

“The approvals have been conveyed to the Inspector General of Police for implementation,” Ani’s statement indicated. |SituationReport|
