Eguaveon quits as Super Eagles coach

Austin Eguaveon has officially stepped down from his role as interim coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, according to a report by @owngoalnigeria.

Eguaveon confirmed that his appointment was only meant for two matches, which he has now fulfilled.

Reflecting on his brief tenure, he stated, “My mandate was for two games and it ends today (against Rwanda). I appreciate my players and the NFF leadership.”

His departure marks the end of his short stint, during which he expressed gratitude for the opportunity to lead the national team and acknowledged the support of the players and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). | SituationReport
