Ex-President Yar’Adua’s mum dies at 102

The mother of the late President Umaru Musa Yaradua, Hajiya Dada Musa Yar’Adua, has died.

She was 102.

A friend to the Yar’Adua family, Hamza Saulawa, confirmed the death of the centenarian yesterday to Radio Nigeria.

He said Hajiya Dada Yar’Adua died at her residence at Yar’Adua in Katsina State, after a protracted illness.

She is survived by four children, including the senator representing Katsina Central, Abdulazeez Musa Yar’Adua.

Others are: Suleiman Musa, Hajiya Hafsat Musa, and Habiba Musa Yar’Adua.

The deceased is also survived by dozens of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She will be buried in the afternoon today in Katsina State.
