Sokoto gets new Police Commissioner

The Sokoto State Police Command has announced the arrival of new Police Commissioner, Ahmed Musa, who assumes office in the state as the 48th Commissioner of Police in the state.

CP Ahmed Musa, takes over from CP Ali Hayatu Kaigama, who retired from active service.

A statement by the spokesman of the command, ASP Ahmed Rufai, and made available to newsmen in the state on Friday said, CP Ahmed Musa, hails from Mubi North Local Government Area of Adamawa state.

He said, “His career began when he was enlisted on the 10th June 1994 as Assistant Superintendent of Police as Asp Cadet and trained at Nigeria police academy wudil, Kano.

“He was posted to Kogi command as Asp on probation. Since then he grew in the force and served as General duty personnel in field of administration, operations, traffic management, investigations among others.

“Cp Ahmed Musa, holds Bachelor of Arts in History from University of Maiduguri and has served in different positions.”

The statement further said prior to his posting as commissioner of police sokoto police command, he was CP Community Safety and Crime Prevention DOPS FHQ.

“He is a professional police officer per excellence and an astute administrator. An expert on intelligence, cyber security and combating terrorism as well as propagator of community policing.

“He operates an open door policy in accordance with international best practices.”

While soliciting for the maximum cooperation and conducive atmosphere from the good people of Sokoto, the CP assures all, of his unalloyed commitment and dedication to rejig the security architecture of the state.
