The wife of the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Patience Umo Eno, yesterday honoured the invitation of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), by nominating ten female stakeholders, across party lines in the state, to attend the celebration of the International Women’s Day.
Organised by the Opakamate Isokariari Foundation with support from the NDDC, the programme tagged “Invest in Women: Accelerating Progress,” took place at the Sheer Grace Events Centre, Uyo, with the wife of the Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House Mrs Margaret Otong and the wife of former Military Governor Mrs Funmi Idongesit Nkanga, in attendance.
Other Female Stakeholders in the delegation were the member representing Eastern Obolo / Ikot Abasi State Constituency, Mrs Selina Ukpatu, Director of the NNPCL, Dr Eunice Thomas, wife of National Assembly member Mrs Victoria Okon, chairman Ibesikpo Asutan LG Transition Committee, Mrs Akon Michael, Mrs Idaresit Okpoido, Dr Unwana Daniel Udo, among others.
