Bomb explosion rocks party secretariat in Port Harcourt

The incident occurred at midnight, shattering the glass on the window near the affected area.

In response to the explosion, the Rivers State Police Command has deployed two security vehicles and personnel to the scene in the new Government Reserved Area (GRA). Despite the incident, routine activities are continuing smoothly within the area.

The APP, a relatively unknown political party in Rivers State, recently gained attention after securing and decorating a building in a high-end area of Port Harcourt to serve as its secretariat.

The party’s sudden rise in prominence has sparked speculation about its backing, with claims suggesting support from some aggrieved members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who are dissatisfied with the current leadership of their party in the state.

While the explosion is a troubling development, it underscores the increasing attention and possible tension surrounding the APP’s activities in Rivers State. As of now, both the party and the police have yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.

The situation continues to unfold as authorities investigate the cause and potential motives behind the explosion.
