Akwa Ibom Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has sympathized with the Paramount Ruler of Ikono Local Government Area, His Royal Majesty, Edidem Etim Nnana Itang, over the demise of his wife, Late Akwa Obonganwan Blessing Etim Nnana Itang.

The Governor expressed his condolence on Friday, during a visit to the bereaved Monarch at his Palace in Ikono Local Government Area.

Represented by his Special Assistant on Humanitarian Services, Prince Nsikanabasi Umoekpo, the Governor said the news of the demise of Obonganwan Blessing was grieving and urged the bereaved family to be consoled by the life of deep impact and service to humanity which the deceased lived.

“The passing of a loved one regardless of age, evokes a feeling of pain and grief and we share the pain you are experiencing at this moment. Even though we cannot find words to adequately console you for this monumental loss, we however, want you to be consoled by the fact that your late wife lived a fulfilled life of deep impact,” he said.

He prayed for the soul of the departed to have repose in the bosom of the Lord and God to grant the family the grace to bear what he described as irreplaceable loss.

Responding, the Monarch expressed gratitude to the Governor over the condolence visit and fondly recalled the beautiful memories of his late wife, as well as the plans they had together.

Aged 51, the Late Akwa Obonganwan Blessing Etim Nnana will be laid to rest on Saturday, 10th August, 2024, after a Funeral Service to be conducted by Christian Fellowship Evangelical, Obot Etim, Ikono LGA.

At the visit were; the Member representing Ikono State Constituency in AKHA, Rt. Hon. Udeme Nnana, Chairman, Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly Service Commission, Barr. Goddy Umoh, among others who were present to receive the Governor’s representative.
