PDP Governors Set To Meet In Enugu Over Party And National Issues

Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will be holding a special meeting at the Enugu State Government House, in the state capital, on Wednesday.

The meeting will be preceded by a cultural night hosted by the chief host, Governor Peter Mbah, on Tuesday night, according to a manifest released earlier today to the Press.

The agenda for the meeting remains unclear.

However, close sources have disclosed that the Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Umar Damagum, and other key party leaders have been invited to join the Governors in the Enugu parley.

Discussions are expected to focus on organizing successful State congresses nationwide on July 27, 2024, preparing for the forthcoming Edo State off-season governorship election, and reviewing the implications of the recent Supreme Court judgment granting financial autonomy to Local Government Areas.

ait.live Correspondent in Enugu, Kelechi Ekeledo reports that the preparations are underway within the Lion Building, Enugu State Government House for the arrival of the twelve PDP Governors.
