A civil society organisations operating in Kebbi state, Initiative for Defence of Democracy and Justice, has warned international oil companies ICOs operating in Nigeria to halt efforts to scuttle oil refining in Dangote refinery.

The state coordinator, Alhaji Aliyu Usman Kaoje in a press statement signed by him said that, their attention was drawn to publication in major Nigerian newspaper where the refinery raised the alarm on attempt by foreign oil companies exploring oil in Nigeria to scuttle the operations of the indigenous refinery by refusing to sale crude oil to him for refining.

He alleged that such economic sabatuers were the reason Nigeria has not been able to build refineries to end their monopoly saying now that we have a patriotic citizen they are using other methods to frustrate him but it will not work he said.

Kaoje explained that, since Dangote admitted that he was attacked from all fronts while building the refinery by the so called western mafia he will as well not succumb to pressure to chicken out.

“Let us sound a strong warning to them to desist forthwith whatever they are doing directly or indirectly to frustrate the operations of the refinery.”

They called on president Tinubu to stand firm with Dangote by ensuring he gets the needed crude supplies to his refinery other wise the ICOs will have well meaning Nigerians to contend with he further warned.
