Akwa Ibom Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has saluted Akwa Ibom and indeed Nigerian women on the occasion of ‘Mother’s Day’ 2024, celebrations.
In his message of felicitation released by his Chief Press Secretary, Ekerete Udoh, Governor Eno, celebrated women for “the exceptional role they play in keeping the family together during these hard times.”
“You have been the glue that binds the family unit, nurturing and keeping the home front together. On this day therefore, that is dedicated to honouring your great deeds and exploits, let me on behalf of the Government and people of Akwa Ibom State celebrate you, honour you, appreciate you, for what you represent in our lives, the State and the Nation.
“We will continue to run a gender-friendly government dedicated to ensuring that kitchen table issues or the provision of social safety net schemes and enforcement of gender- based violence will always be in the front burner of our engagements.
“Once again, I wish you a happy Mother’s Day”!
