Wike Halts Rehabilitation Work At International Conference Centre

The Abuja Investments Company Limited (AICL) has announced a temporary suspension of the rehabilitation work at the International Conference Centre (ICC), Abuja till July 5, 2024.

The Head, PR and Communications of AICL, Fatima Nadada, on Wednesday, in a statement, said that the directive was authorised by the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike.

The company said that the decision was made to accommodate two significant events that are of peculiar nature and importance to the nation and the international community:

“The Nigeria Air Force Anniversary tagged The NAF @ 60 Anniversary, themed ‘Nigerian Air Force at 60: Leveraging Strategic Partnerships in Aerospace Innovations for Regional Security,’ will feature a series of activities.

The Nigeria Oil and Gas energy week which is scheduled to take place in June, 2024 in parallel with the 23rd NOG Energy Week Conference & Exhibition, a cornerstone event for the international energy sector.

“We regret any inconvenience this might have caused. AICL remains committed to providing a world-class venue for conferences, conventions, and cultural events in Abuja,” Nadada said in the statement.
