Police Arrest Man, 40, For Allegedly Killing Mother In Akwa Ibom

Akwa Ibom State Police Command, yesterday, said it had arrested a 40-year-old man identified as Inyangake Peter for killing his mother, Mma Offiong Peter, Vanguard newspaper reports.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, (outgoing), CSP Odiko MacDon in a statement, yesterday, in Uyo disclosed that the deceased was about 70 years old.

According to MacDon, the ugly incident occurred on April 4, 2024, at 9a.m in Ikpe Annang Village of Essien Udim Local Government Area of the state.

He added that the command also arrested one Asuquo Isaac, who killed his 18-year-old son identified as Iboro Isaac over family misunderstanding.

He said the suspects would be charged to court on completion of investigation.
