The Super Eagles of Nigeria will host the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Friday, June 7.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) also announced that the encounter will take place at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
It will be the first meeting between both teams after they were involved in a dramatic penalty shootout at the semi-final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
The Super Eagles won the keenly contested encounter 4-2 after it ended 1-1 in regulation and extra -time.
The West Africans are yet to record a win in the qualifiers after two draws against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
South Africa are second in the group with three points from two games.
Rwanda are the surprise leaders with four points from the same number of matches.
