Remains Of Akwa Ibom Born Make Up Artist, Abigail, Has Been Brought Back To The State

In accordance with the directives of Akwa Ibom State Governor, His Excellency Pastor Umo Eno, the body of Akwa Ibom girl, late Abigail Frederick was exhumed today from River Niger bank for proper burial in her hometown, Eket, Akwa Ibom State.

The makeup Artist, a theatre Art graduate from University of Uyo, was among the unlucky ones who couldn’t make it during the ill-fated boat mishap that took the life of Junior Pope and others.

According to the tradition of the Community, anybody who dies in the river must be buried by the River, and if the family insist on taking such body home, certain rituals has to be made, else deadly consequences awaits such family. Unfortunately, Abigail’s family couldn’t afford the expenses, consequently, she was buried by the river side in Asaba, Delta State.

When, the Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State got wind of the situation, he Immediately stepped into the matter, and ordered that the body of the make-up artist be brought back no matter what it will cost.

I am glad to announce that, today morning, that directive was carried out today. Her body has been exhumed and brought back to her State.

All Special Assistants to the Governor, on Entertainment, led by “Utang Akwa Ibom” were on ground at Asaba this Sunday morning to carry out the directives of the Governor.
