President Tinubu Returns From Senegal

Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu returned to Abuja around 6pm on Tuesday, after attending the inauguration ceremony of new President of Senegal, Bassirou Faye, in Dakar.

President Tinubu joined other leaders from across the continent, especially from the West African sub-region, at the Diamniadio Exhibition Centre for the event on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

The President was accompanied on the trip by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar and other senior government officials.

Tinubu, who is the Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Authority of Heads of State and Government, attended the event on the invitation of the Government of Senegal.
