Former President Goodluck Jonathan has urged all Christians to embrace the virtues of faith, love, and sacrifice demonstrated by Christ in their daily lives.
He gave the advice in his congratulations to all Nigerians and Christians worldwide on the Easter celebration.
Jonathan disclosed this in a post on his X handle on Sunday, March 31, 2024.
He wrote: “I congratulate all Nigerians and Christians across the world on this year’s Easter. The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ are at the core of the Christian faith, as it demonstrates Christ’s triumph over sin and death as well as His boundless love for humanity.
“At Easter, believers are reminded of the redemptive sacrifices of Christ and the promises of hope, joy, victory and eternal life.
“I, therefore, urge all Christians to imbibe the virtues of faith, love and sacrifice exemplified by Christ in our everyday life.
As a country, let us continue to live in faith, hope, and tolerance despite our national challenges. Let us use this period to reawaken our love for God and humanity and work toward our collective peace, unity, and prosperity.Happy Easter.”
