Senator Sampson Represents Senate President, Akpabio, At Burial Of Chief Jerry Okpo

Senator representing Akwa Ibom South in the National Assembly, Senator Ekong Sampson, yesterday, paid his respects to the Late Chief Jerry Okpo, a prominent Oro chieftain, who passed on at 69.

Senator Sampson, who represented the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio at the funeral service held at Community Secondary School, Offi, Okobo LGA, noted that the late Chief Jerry Okpo was a man of great integrity, who contributed immensely to the development of Oro and Akwa Ibom State, in general.


Understanding how difficult this time could be for the bereaved family, Senator Sampson in his condolence message, prayed them the strength to lean their faith in God; and the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Senator Sampson later attended the traditional marriage of Mrs Veronica Akpabio in Uruan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. Mrs Akpabio is the daughter of the Akwa Ibom State PDP Woman Leader.
