The coming of Pastor Umo Eno has heralded a new beginning in the historical perspective of the state. Successive governments have come and gone, but the fact is, each administration comes with its peculiarities and challenges.
From Agricultural revolution, to Rural Development, Governor Umo Eno is steadily landscaping Akwa Ibom state with life touching projects, and delivering on his avowed commitment to better the lives of Akwa Ibom people.

The Governor has moved from the institution of a N100 million trust fund for the physically challenged, the payment of bursary, which was last done many years ago, to remodeling of schools, to revamping the health sector, organizing free medical outreaches, and most recently the signing into law of the Bulk Purchase Agency bill and Akwa Ibom State Infrastructure and Asset Management and Maintenance Agency Bill which was passed by the State House of Assembly.

Contract award for construction of 18 economic roads in AKS, approval for development of ARISE Park & construction of tourist recreational center with road networks/pedestrian bridge in Uyo, approval for Execution of water projects in 11 Communities in AKS, commissioning of 2 Models schools on May 7, 2024 and distribution of free School bags, shoes, & uniforms to pupils, release of N100bn on 77 road projects (36 New roads; 41 inherited roads) by Gov. Umo Eno since assumption of office.

Some days ago, the Governor, in his humane disposition, had announced that 31 flats across the 31 Local Government Areas in the state, will be built and handed over to the vulnerable persons in the state. This he said, was done by a team he set up privately, to identify those whose living conditions needed immediate intervention.

Every day, Akwa Ibom people wake up to good news from the stable of His Excellency, and who knows what next the Governor holds to deliver for the people? At Ikot Ekpene General Hospital, where the free medical outreach held, there have been an outpouring of encomiums, prayers and goodwill messages extended to the Governor, from over a thousand beneficiaries, including over 500 surgeries successfully carried out for fibroid, hernia, cataract, cesarean sections, and lots more, with volunteers at the outreach, also thanking the Governor for the initiative.

It demonstrates the fact that, Governor Umo Eno came prepared for governance in Akwa Ibom State, and the people are yet to see the last of the man they elected to govern them. We do not know if this Governor is a miracle worker, but anywhere he goes, and everyday that comes, he is springing surprises in various facets of governance.
