Gov Umo Eno’s Aide Reunites Esit Eket Media Practitioners

Media practitioners from Esit Eket Local Government Area have resolved to henceforth, toe the path of unity and love for the development of their area of origin and Akwa Ibom State at large irrespective of their various political party affiliations.

The watchdogs of the society have also agreed to support the “Arise Agenda” of the State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno and other lofty programmes of the Governor aimed at attracting development to all nooks and crannies of the State.

The resolution was reached on Wednesday, 13th March, 2024, during an enlarged meeting held at the instance of the Personal Assistant to the Governor on New Media, Comrade Jeremiah Edoho, in Eket.

Briefing participants at the meeting, Comrade Edoho, said Governor Umo Eno deserves unbiased support from all quarters to enable him succeed in moving the state forward to attain designed developmental plan as encapsulated in his “Arise Agenda”, maintaining that Pastor Umo Eno has recorded impressive footprints since assumption of office.

He lauded the Governor for appointing aides across all wards in the State, prompt payment of pension to pensioners in the State and the ongoing construction of Model Schools across the State, adding that these will further foster development at the grassroots and bring governance closer to the people.

“In nine months, the Governor has paid a total of 14.7 billion naira for retired workers in the state. The Arise Shelter Initiative for the less privileged across the 31 Local Government, release of N778,998,500 payment for the 2023/2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), sincere effort towards the actualization of Ibom Deep Seaport project, commitment to gender inclusiveness and open governance irrespective of party affiliation, shows the level of genuine commitment for quality education, unity, peace and development in our dear state “. He stated.

Edoho also used the medium to announce sponsorship of one of the media practitioners in the area, Prince John Ekpo, on photography and cinematography, in addition to payment of school fees, provision of learning materials, school uniforms and bags to some less privileged students.
